The Saudi Arabia national football team is preparing for their upcoming match against Spain in the 2026 World Cup. Lamine Yamal, the young Spanish winger, said he still has a lot of room for improvement in his career. Yamal explained in an interview with the Spanish newspaper El País that the fans have not seen the best of him yet. The Spanish player has been struggling with injuries before the start of the World Cup, but it is expected that he will play a part in Spain's match against Saudi Arabia. Yamal added that people look at him as if this is his level and that's all, but he can take advantage of all the confidence he has in many things. Yamal considered that fame since the age of 13 had its price, as it deprived him of doing normal things like shopping or going to the cinema. Yamal started playing football in the streets, while others usually start in local clubs. Yamal said that the problem he sees with young players now is that they join a football team at the age of four, and in the team they tell you: okay, the defender has to control the ball and pass it to the winger. Yamal doubts that he will be able to play at an elite level at the age of 40, like the captain of the Argentine national team, Lionel Messi.
